Episode 0 : The Shepherd
In this short episode, predating the conception of The Chosen series, the birth of Jesus Christ is portrayed through the perspective of local shepherds, humble working men. Among them is a devout young cripple, whose life is forever altered by a world-shaking visit that marks the beginning of profound change in the world.
Episode 1 : I Have Called You by Name
The tale unfolds with two brothers facing off against a Jewish tax collector over their debts to Rome, while a Pharisee encounters a woman possessed by a demon in the infamous “Red Quarter” of Capernaum.
Episode 2 : Shabbat
Matthew confirms Simon’s agreement with Praetor Quintus, while Nicodemus delves into the reported miracle in the Red Quarter. Meanwhile, Mary is taken aback by unexpected guests who join her for Shabbat dinner.
Episode 3 : Jesus Loves the Little Children
Jesus forms a bond with and imparts teachings to a group of children who stumble upon His camp on the outskirts of Capernaum.
Episode 4 : The Rock on Which it is Built
With his life and family imperiled by the Roman authorities, Simon embarks on one final night of fishing in a desperate bid to settle his debts. As he and Andrew cast their nets, they are startled to find a familiar face awaiting them on the shores of Galilee.
Episode 5 : The Wedding Gift
As Jesus and his disciples journey to a wedding celebration in Cana, Nicodemus questions John the Baptizer. Meanwhile, at the wedding, Mary, Jesus’ mother, makes a unique request of her son.
Episode 6 : Indescribable Compassion
Following the miraculous healing of a leper on the road to Capernaum, the friend of a paralytic resorts to desperate measures to navigate through the crowd and bring his paralyzed companion to meet Jesus.
Episode 7 : Invitations
As Matthew grapples with the challenge of rationalizing the miracles he has witnessed, Nicodemus at last arranges a clandestine meeting with Jesus to seek answers.
Episode 8 : I Am He
Following a miraculous visit to Simon’s house, Jesus and his disciples depart from Capernaum under the watchful eyes of religious and Roman authorities. Along the journey, Jesus surprises everyone by making a significant stop at Jacob’s Well, where an important encounter awaits them.
