“No Way Through” chronicles the life of Jolade Okeniyi, a single mother struggling to make ends meet for her teenage daughter. Jolade’s main source of income stems from her role as a driver for the local drug cartel in her neighborhood. However, her world takes a drastic turn when she is apprehended by the authorities and coerced into becoming an informant against the cartel. The stakes are high, as failure to provide the necessary information would lead to both Jolade and her daughter facing imprisonment. Yet, the perilous journey to obtain this information puts them at the mercy of the ruthless cartel, risking their lives in the pursuit of freedom. Directed by Chinaza Onuzo, who also penned the screenplay, “No Way Through” unfolds as a gripping crime drama, exploring the sacrifices made to support family and the inherent dangers encountered when seeking liberation.
